If you haven’t watched Yellowstone, it’s a horse opera. That’s a combo of a western and a soap opera, with tropes from each of the genres. It’s a fine show, well acted and written, though it doesn’t always hew to reality. I mean, there were 22 murders in Montana last year and if you follow the show, Kaycee Dutton is responsible for about half.
