The subtext to trades has been as interesting as the trades themselves over the past couple days. After Jameson Taillon was dealt to the Yankees, we’ve had a couple trades in Adam Ottavino to the Yankees and Steven Matz to the Mets that only make sense if they’re part of a sequence, rather than a deal for itself.
